What is CLEAR Plus?

CLEAR Plus is a private identity verification program that lets you move through the ID check at participating airports using your face or fingerprints instead of presenting a physical ID. It works before the TSA security screening and is available at more than 50 U.S. airports.

Is CLEAR the same as TSA PreCheck®?

No. They solve different parts of the airport experience. CLEAR replaces the identity check by verifying you biometrically. TSA PreCheck® speeds up the security screening itself by allowing eligible travelers to keep their shoes, belt, and light jacket on at participating checkpoints. Many travelers choose to use both together for the fastest airport experience.

Do I need TSA PreCheck® to use CLEAR?

No. CLEAR works with or without TSA PreCheck®. If you have both, you'll typically move through both the identity check and security screening faster.

How much does CLEAR cost?

GovGo charges a one-time service fee for enrollment assistance. The CLEAR Plus membership subscription is purchased separately from CLEAR after enrollment. GovGo does not mark up or collect CLEAR's membership fee.

How long does enrollment take?

Most travelers complete the GovGo enrollment process in about 15 minutes. You'll then visit a participating CLEAR location for a biometric verification that typically takes around 5 minutes.

Which airports have CLEAR?

CLEAR is available at 50+ airports across the United States, with new locations added regularly. We'll help you identify the participating airport that's most convenient for you.

Can my family enroll together?

Yes. CLEAR allows eligible family members to be added to the same membership. GovGo helps coordinate everyone's enrollment so, whenever possible, you can complete the process during the same visit.
