1. Overview

GOV GO DIGITAL SOLUTIONS LLC, operating as GovGo, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your information.

This policy applies to information we collect on govgo.app, through our applications, and through related services we provide. By using our services, you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect

From you, directly:

Identity & contact information: name, date of birth, sex, place of birth, citizenship status, mailing and home addresses, phone number, email address.
Government identifiers: passport number, driver's license number, Alien Registration Number (where applicable).
Application content: answers to government form questions, employment history, address history, criminal-history disclosures.
Documents: photos and scans of government-issued IDs, passport photos, proof of address.
Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number. We retain only the last 4 digits and card brand.
Communications: messages, emails, and correspondence with our specialist team.

Automatically:

IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring URL, and timestamps.
Email engagement data: opens, clicks, bounces (via our email provider).
Analytics and advertising technologies — including Google Tag Manager (GTM), Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Google Ad Manager (GPT) — may set cookies and transmit technical identifiers for conversion measurement and ad performance tracking. See Section 8 for your opt-out options.

From third parties (limited):

Stripe — transaction confirmations and refund status.
Government agencies — application status updates, KTN/PASSID issuance confirmations.

3. How we use your information

To prepare, review, and submit your government applications to the appropriate agency.
To validate your submitted documents for accuracy and compliance.
To schedule enrollment appointments on your behalf where required.
To send you email and SMS updates about your application status.
To process payments and issue refunds via Stripe.
To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
To improve our service through aggregated, anonymized analytics.
To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful government requests.
To protect our service and customers from fraud and abuse.

We never sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use your personal data to build advertising profiles.

4. Categories of personal information (California residents)

Under the CCPA/CPRA, the following categories of personal information have been collected from California residents in the past 12 months:

5. Business purposes for collection

Performing the services you have contracted us to provide (filing your government application).
Detecting and preventing fraud and security incidents.
Debugging and repairing errors in our service.
Internal research for technological improvement of our platform.
Quality control and verification of our services.
Complying with legal obligations.

6. Third parties we share data with

We share personal information only with service providers who have contractual obligations to protect your data, and only as necessary to provide our service. We do not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

Stripe — payment processing.
Government agencies (TSA, CBP, CLEAR, and visa authorities) — receive application data required to process your request.
Email/SMS providers — receive your contact information for transactional notifications.
Advertising and analytics platforms — Google (via Google Tag Manager and Google Ad Manager/GPT), Meta (Meta Ads), and Microsoft (Microsoft Ads) receive technical identifiers for ad measurement and conversion tracking, as described in Section 4.

SMS/Mobile Information. We do not share your mobile phone number or SMS/text message opt-in consent with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is used solely to send you transactional and account-related SMS messages (such as appointment reminders, application status updates, and renewal notifications) as described in this policy. No mobile opt-in data is shared with our advertising or analytics partners referenced elsewhere in this policy.

7. Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA/CPRA:

Right to Know: request a copy of the personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months.
Right to Delete: request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
Right to Correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing: opt out of "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (see Section 8).
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive PI: direct us to limit use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide our services.
Right to Non-Discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise these rights, email support@govgo.app. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.

8. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

GovGo does not sell personal information for money. However, our use of advertising-measurement cookies may constitute "sharing" under California law because technical identifiers are transmitted to analytics providers for conversion measurement.

To opt out, email support@govgo.app with subject line "Do Not Sell or Share." We will process your request within 15 business days, as required by law.

9. Sensitive personal information

Some information we collect is classified as "sensitive personal information" under California law, including government-issued ID numbers and account credentials. We use sensitive personal information only as necessary to provide our services. We do not use it for advertising and never sell it.

10. Automated processing

We use automated document-review processes to check uploaded photos and IDs for compliance with government requirements. These automated checks assist our human specialists but do not replace them — a specialist reviews every application before submission.

11. Data security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, encryption for sensitive data at rest, and access controls limiting staff access to personal data on a need-to-know basis. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

12. Data retention

Application data & payment records: retained for 7 years for legal compliance.
Document uploads (passport scans, photos): deleted 90 days after submission to the government.
Support communications: retained for 3 years.
Account data: retained until you request deletion, subject to legal hold exceptions.

13. Children's privacy

Our service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Parents may submit applications on behalf of minor children using their own adult account. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, contact us at support@govgo.app and we will delete it promptly.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
